coaches are negotiating with and making offers to dozens of players in a constantly changing environment. They put together a complex offer and the player signs with some other team, and they make an offer to another player who is also being offered by 10 other teams.
It would take a team of NY lawyers, and accountants to try and sort through all of that on both the player's side and on the team's side.
It's possible, I guess, but it seems quite unlikely.
Have you seen any of these contracts? Or have others who have seen them said that is how they are structured?
