based their "Pants on Fire" claim of a lie on Rep. Wilson, on their own reading of the bill back in 2009, before it went into effect.

But the recent article by the Chicago Tribune linked to in the post: https://x.com/chicagotribune/status/1946699100549697743

asserts: "In Illinois, adult immigrants ages 42-64 without legal status have lost their health care to save an estimated $404 million."

multiplying that by 50 states over 16 years (& counting) would bring that total up to hundreds of billions in government paid health access for illegal immigrants (so far).
