Have any idea how much food in the US is useable and destroyed daily? No, you don't.
A few months ago at a Kroger I saw perfectly good produce, like cherry tomatos or carrots in a throw-away container so I took them. After a few times I was told I couldn't do that any more. I know they don't keep over-ripe fruit, since its NEVER available for sale. Etc, etc............
