Turns out it all started when manager Kathy M. Bledsoe told a juvenile employee to take out the trash. The teen refused, got told to clock out, then called her mama, Tynika R. McKinzie, who pulled up with another juvenile. They allegedly entered a restricted area, and that’s when things popped off. McKinzie reportedly hit the manager and Bledsoe responded by pulling a gun and firing, hitting McKinzie in the leg.
By the next day, charges were filed Kathy M. Bledsoe, 44, of Belleville:
• Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Class 4 Felony)
Tynika R. McKinzie, 35, of Belleville:
• Aggravated Battery (Class 3 Felony)
• Mob Action (Class 4 Felony)
Bledsoe is currently being held, pending a detention hearing. McKinzie was treated for her injury and is not in custody.
