Holding it to a 10 pt halftime deficit was pretty decent, just got worn down in the second half.
The next 3 games will give us a much better idea if we will be competitive at all in the SEC or if we are headed to a 1-2 win SEC season.
At Alabama
At Georgia
Florida at home
Bama is good but not great, only beat a bad Florida team by 10 at home tonight. So they are at least beatable in theory. Not like playing SC, Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, LSU or Tennessee. Do I think we beat them? No, but we could keep it close and keep the game respectable.
Then we play 2 of the worst teams in the conference. Georgia is awful, getting blown out at Vandy tonight. And then we get a bad Florida team at home.
After those games it’s really hard to find a reasonably winnable game on the rest of the schedule. Arkansas and TAMU on the road qualify, and maybe Miss St at home.
So I’m waiting until the first 4 SEC games are in the books before I’ll call this a bad team or monumentally bad. And no I’m not taking bets on that.
