played themselves out of the projected bracket.

Today’s update has Georgia as the last at large team in the tournament, Miss St as the first team out, and Missouri in the “next 4 out group”, meaning the 5th to 8th teams not getting a bid.

So really, 3 SEC teams squarely on the bubble at this point, with Mizzou the shakiest, for now. If I was a betting man, which I’m not, I’d lean towards none of these teams making the tournament, making the SEC a top heavy, mediocre 6 bid conference, with only 2 teams seeded remotely close to having a shot at the Sweet 16. Here are the SEC projected seed lines in today’s update:

1 SC
2 LSU
7 Tennessee
8 Alabama
9 Ole Miss
9 Arkansas
12 Georgia

Been a while since we’ve seen numbers that bleak for the SEC.
