Today’s SEC NET rankings...

For anyone clinging to hopes of Missouri getting an at large bid, and I know that group is dwindling fast, we have 4 solid chances left to get top 50 wins:
23 Alabama
30 Ole Miss
36 Arkansas
40 Miss St
At a minimum we need to go 2-2 in those games, giving us 3 top 50 wins (and 2 hopefully top 25 wins if one is over Alabama and they hold on). That at least would put us in the ballpark for a resume that would match favorably with the other semi-good semi-crappy flawed teams on the bubble. 3-1 would be even better.
The 3 remaining games against 3 of the 4 worst NET teams won’t help us much, but will hurt us a lot if we lose any of them. Our NET ranking of 55 is at a danger point, really need to get it down to the mid 40s, which is going to be difficult.
Gotta start somewhere, and that means Vandy in Columbia Thursday night. They are 10-12, 1-7 in SEC play, having just won their first conference game against an awful TAMU team at home on Sunday. I bet a hundred dollars we have the exact same starting lineup. And we try to pound the ball inside to Kelly for much of the first quarter, just to prove...well honestly I’m not sure at all what we are trying to prove anymore with that strategy.
