Should be a top priority. MU needs to sustain the programs that are doing their part not to contribute to MU’s suboptimal athletic department reputation.
Next should be putting money toward demolishing Hearnes and putting together an athletic center that can handle volleyball, wrestling & indoor track. Those are sports that MU could be SEC (or in the case of wrestling, national) quality programs.I’d like to see it moved east and replace Hearnes with parking which might greatly enhance the vibe and tailgating toward the football stadium.
Football is in decent shape.
Basketball is in decent shape.
Baseball is a lost cause imo. If a donor wants to give them money fine. But it is in over its head in SEC. And doesn’t generate enough interest to warrant big spending versus other pursuits.
