What would adding a peon like KU do for them?...
It wouldn't help them in their ambitions of east- or west-ward expansion, or landing the Holy Grail of Notre Dame.
It wouldn't improve the national appeal of their matchups (quite the opposite, in fact).
And adding a tiny country bumpkin farm state like Kansas certainly wouldn't serve their elitist agenda, or expand their footprint in any meaningful way.
The only box KU checks is basketball, and that's not nearly enough to justify adding them... especially with the addition of UCLA to an already-loaded basketball conference.
