They are TV shows being produced to sell to the highest bidders. Carriage fees still matter though and ad revenue. If they didn’t, MU wouldn’t have landed a spot. And luckily MU football wasn’t horrible when they were shopping. But yeah, some schools have the brands which will matter the more this goes to streaming. That’s why I think a Clemson and Florida State still make sense for SEC.

To the degree MU continues to lose interest in the State of Missouri, it’s best carriage fees remain important. I personally think MU has set itself up to be the most questionable inclusion in this big brand/interest world that is evolving. A lot of losing to these big brands won’t help grow that interest in a state already turned off by Boone County’s politics and one of the worst AD’s in major college sports in terms of ever winning championships.
