Women’s BB new season

A few thoughts on this years team….I’m optimistic that this group of players can make this a bounce back season , with a decent chance of being a tournament team.
There’s depth at multiple positions , and if the freshman are ready to contribute more depth than in years.
Trusty and Travis , at least on film look to be athletic inside players , something which MU has lacked . Along with Williams they might possibly at last give MU some inside defensive presence and rebounding that competes in the SEC.
An area of concern would be point guard as it’s debatable if either point guard is quite up to filling that role on a winning team . The freshman Higginbottom appears to be an exciting offensive talent , maybe she gets a chance.
Pingeton is surely very committed to the upper classmen she has used in recent years, but they have been losing years. Certain tendencies of players have not produced winning basketball.
I had the opportunity to meet most of the team members this summer at an event they volunteered for. Every athlete was such a delightful and engaging person , wishing the best for them .
