Maybe he wanted to play there. Why does everyone think the ALL basketball players want to be D1 or D2? Having watched all levels of basketball for 50 years, D2 basketball is no better than the NAIA and the bottom half of the D1 schools are no better than many D2 or NAIA schools. I’ll never understand those D1 players who are the 10,11,12 or 13th player on the bench who never play. They are no more than practice dummies. Almost all D1 schools have a rotation of 8 or 9 and the rest don’t play unless there is a blowout. Go to a D2 or NAIA school and PLAY.
