I agree. Dru is fundamentally sound and plays hard.

He has solid skills all around. I think he can play in Europe.
I'm not sure about Mitchell Smith. I've always thought he was criticized too much as a Tiger. I think he played hard and up to his abilities; and he came through with some key plays in big games. He just never filled out enough physically. That growth is hard to project. He may still be too thin to make it professionally anywhere. He doesn't have the shooting to compensate for it.
I've always thought that Tilmon might do better as a pro, where he could mix it up, rather than in the SEC, which became much softer about the time he entered the league. I used to think he might find the back end of an NBA roster, doing the dirty work and hitting mid-range jumpers, but his shooting didn't really progress as I thought it might. And, he learned bad habits playing not to foul. The hands up in the air routine won't work at all in the NBA. Perhaps, he could learn to use his strength and aggression in the G-League playing the right way. I doubt it will happen for him, but it would be great if he could become a Warriors' Kevon Loony type player one day, and make a career.
The bottom line is that it is really hard to make an NBA roster. Really good college players just hope to carve out some role. Compared to the NFL, for example, there are far fewer roster spots and much less attrition each year due to injury. And I always chuckle at those who think Tigers who score 18-20 points in college ought to make it in a league where "no defense is played." They just never got a fair shot.
