One of the issues with this is the strong belief that some hold in which you cannot speak to or have an opinion on a situation unless you are of the same race or gender as the people within the issue.
Just saw a YouTube video of a white man talking about the negative impact on Atlanta (particularly its black population) with MLB moving the all star game, and the other person in the debate (a black woman) responding that because he is white, he cannot possibly have an opinion on the matter.
Not that his statistics were wrong or right, she didn’t want to debate that. She just wanted to shut down the discussion because of race.
