Have a friend who's a nurse at a busy (well, used to be busy) hospital in Anaheim CA. The hospital is so unpopulated that he is contemplating taking a second job to make ends meet. They are cutting all hospital staff hours by about a 1/3. He hasn't treated a covid patient in a month. And, there are only TWO in the entire hospital. Both are very old and are in the ICU.
For those who don't know Anaheim is about as densely packed an area as there is in Orange County. Overall there are approximately 3 million people in the county the size of about 950 square miles.
