What is so frustrating...

Is the team is capable of beating some good teams, we were right in it with a chance to win against MO State, Arky, and now TAMU.
I feel better about yesterday’s game after sleeping on it. The Mizzou team yesterday would have beaten Alabama and LSU. It was a great effort to take a top 10 team down to the wire. Just so disappointing to see them come so close and fall short.
Don’t know if you or someone else said it, but this team is clearly less than the sum of its parts. It’s just not fitting together, and it’s apparent now that we are going to get absolutely manhandled inside against the best team in the SEC. RP has utterly failed to get a strong frontcourt that can stand up to the size and athleticism and toughness of the SEC. We have a lot of nice shiny parts running around the court, but most of them are guards. I mistakenly thought Dufficy might be the second coming of Frericks and bang around inside, but no.
Don’t even want to get into Blackwell, so much talent, but she gives and then takes away over and over and over. RP has completely failed to get her frenetic energy under control. No sure if she ever will. But it’s not just one player. It’s easy to pile on her at this point but there are so many other problems. And someone please tell me what kind of offense we are running, what is the scheme, what is the intent and goal. I can’t discern it no matter how hard I look.
It’s really difficult to lose a game where you shoot 54% from the field and the opponent is at 39%, and where you go 8-19 (42%) from 3’s, and they shoot 3-18 (17%). Here how it happens though. You get out toughed and outrebounded 40 to 31. You have 16 turnovers and they have 9. And critically, the visiting team hits 15-21 free throws and we hit 2-6. Jeez, we went 39 minutes of the game and we were 0-4 at the free throw line. How do you only shoot 4 FTs all game long, and miss them all, until with 1 minute left in the game Williams hit 2 FTs so we finish 2-6. Jeez, that’s awful.
