Before being head coach at Tennessee, he was defensive coordinator at Alabama, and before that DC at Georgia and Florida state.
He certainly has the credentials. Of course he may want to sit out a year or try to land on as a DC at a bigger name program.
Whether there is anything to the alleged violations would matter, too, of course.
Overall, it may be better for Drinkwitz to get a young up and coming defensive coordinator. Someone that has recently been a head coach could lead to a little friction, potentially.
