The point I was attempting to make (and didn't) is:
1. Available resources are a factor in college football success.
2. Mizzou's operating football budget is the lowest of the six public universities in the SEC East. It's roughly 25 million. The top SEC East programs probably are in the 40 to 50 million range.
3. Resources are clearly a factor in determining a program's success.
4. It's unrealistic to expect Drinkwitz to field a team that's competitive with Georgia, Florida and Tennessee if he's being given fewer resources. And for what it's worth, both Kentucky (a basketball school) and South Carolina have larger operating budgets than Mizzou.
5. It's also unrealistic to expect Drinkwitz to stay at Mizzou if he has to continually work with fewer resources than his competition.
6. The number and use of analysts is simply one example of how Mizzou and Drinkwitz are operating at a disadvantage to virtually all of the other SEC East programs.
