Good guy. Had his one big clutch moment at the plate.
But his .300 ONCE in his career.

.257 might be passable if he was a 400 HR guy, but when you average 18 HR per year, you damn well better be a .300 hitter to be an all time great, and he is the kind of guy that should have regularly hit .300

Gordon is like your kid that gets straight A's except for the C in that one subject that he just never figures out. You love him, but you're always frustrated with him.
