however I do remember while living in TX, a Plano coach was recruited to be a coach for another HS, and when the teachers of the new school found out he was going to make 80+, they raised heck and all demanded significant raises so he went back to Plano who gave him a raise for staying. that was in 80's. And that my friend is ridiculous. Not trying to be mean, but every football coach I have known has not been the pick of the litter in smarts. There are a few exceptions and more so now since the pay has become ridiculous but overall average at best, yet we are making them and players the future for our country because wealth runs a country.
