Don't hire a D2 coach last associated with D1 in the '90s

That is the lesson for all programs. If you do at least give him a super qualified staff of assistants not a former D2 assistant, JUCO coach, and former high school coach.
There is a reason someone in their 60's is coaching at the D2 level without ever even trying head coaching at a low major. The only surprising development would have been if it hadn't turned out to be the worst D1 hire of the last 50 years. But unfortunately it was. Hopefully lesson learned.
