$1.2million was worth a lot more, relatively, back in 2000 than it will be in 2030
Unless he got a MUCH larger overall sum due to structuring it like this.
I'd take a million a year over 20 years vs 5 or 8 million up-front
But give me the choice between 40 million today vs 1 million over 40 years and thats a no-brainer
