Powell didn't have much in his tank, "guaranteed L". So playing a veteran Bryant and one of the hottest QB transfers in the country made sense - even if not 100%. It would also make sense that Bryant could become better as the season went along thru more experience, being a literal one year Mizzou QB.
Who really forsaw his wheels coming off after Ole Miss and losing to a feeble Vanderbilt and so on?
The first half of the season and the second half has to be the strangest QB flip in Mizzou history, if not the SEC, if not the country, if not in the history of NCAA football.
