Naming AA teams for the spring sports is a joke...

and damages the integrity of the awards.

In the case of softball, since teams had played only about 40-50% of the season, the gold standard for awards, the NFCA, specifically said they would not name AA teams for the 2020 season, in order to protect the integrity of the awards, since there was not enough games played, and, therefore, not enough body of work to fairly evaluate players.

That was a good decision.

There will be joke organizations like Softball America and others who name 2020 AA teams. Dont listen to them.

Yes, Cayla had a great season going, and, if she had continued that production in the last half of the season, would have certainly been an NFCA AA.

But any org naming AA teams after only half or less than half of a season has no integrity whatsoever.
