That are not founded in reality. Very few fans have a clue how you manage a football team. They make these statements to justify their position because they are relatively unprovable.

Everyone attempts to prove his inability to control his team (lots tried to use penalty stats) but the reality is what matters for football coaches is generally wins and losses.

It was clear Sterk was not in Odom's corner and had just level enough wins and losses to justify (sort of) making his mark on a football hire.

Time will tell how this plays out but Barry Odom will be a good p5 head coach in the not to distant future. Likely after a 3-4 year stop at a non p5 school.
