We all have our theories, and mine is that KB was so bad the coaches underestimated his inability to read defenses and make the right throw. They thought maybe he would improve at not zeroing in on one receiver and virtually eliminating half the field as an option every pass play. How they didn’t have a better plan when the wheels came off I don’t know. The Wyoming game was KB, mind numbing terrible qb play with some good runs sprinkled in. When it came down to it he missed open receiver, or never looked for him I should say. The mistake made was not knowing what you had, to not knowing what you were pursuing. He was better than anything we had so they thought he was worth it. I don’t think they knew how bad he was at certain aspects and that shouldn’t happen.
