If college football doesn't play any games this fall, will the TV networks write checks, will there be any College Football Playoff Money, will there be any Bowl payouts? These sums probably make up 20% to 40% of the typical Power Five program's total revenue.

If there's no TV money, it will look a lot like the current situation in the small business sector. Perhaps Congress can enact a stimulus bill aimed at college football programs. It can offer loans for salary continuation for athletic directors, coaches, etc. as well as ongoing overhead.

And if a program plays future schedules, the loans can be forgiven and become grants.

Oh where are those lobbyists when you really need them?
