I'm guessing I need to dethatch before using it? I've tried dethatching my lawn and hoping that enough soil was disturbed to grow the grass seed without much luck. I'm going to try something like this and see if I get better results this year. Any other steps I'm missing? Cut the lawn short, dethatch, overseed, and then water?
