place to assure the females had a chance to compete. If you continue letting boys play girls sports you will push out the players that the sport was specifically designed for.
I coached baseball and volleyball for years. Every year we had girls ask to play baseball, no softball at the time, and I gladly accepted them to the team. I also had guys ask to play VB and every time I told them no. Why the difference? I never had a girl on the baseball team that actually made my team better or pushed a guy off the team. Every single guy that asked to play VB would have been an all conference calibre player who would have affected the competitive balance of my team and taken a spot from a girl.
