But she is hitting .163. She has no business hitting #5 in the batting order, or even #6, which she was back to in the second game today.
I really want Bailey to develop into an effective hitter, and meet her potential as a top 50 recruit when she signed here. But it’s just not happening. If she can’t even hit .200 she becomes a liability to the team, and someone else deserves an opportunity to do better.
And if lineups sometimes depend on the pitching matchup, then why was Mizzou’s lineup in the first 6 hitters in the order so consistent through the first 2+ weeks, regardless of who was pitching?
