Cuonzo mistakely believes building men has a priority over winning. He's wrong and should note that most successful programs win first and the building of men will come. There are a lot of unemployed coaches that built men. Case in point:
Kobe Brown didn't start vs. Bama due to "better perimeter defense" needed, and did not play at all against A&M due to "illness". However he was strong enough to sit the bench against A&M but not play a few minutes? It appears a team rule or two was and if the Bama game wasn't in his home state with his family there, I doubt if he would have played.
Tray: He's not the best pro prospect on the team, but he has potential to contribute at the 3/4 when the Mitch/Pickett/Watson are having a Mitch/Pickett/Watson game. The kid has done something to get in the dog-house other then miss a defense assignment or two, and it appears his punishment is DNP! I assume this was McKinney's punishment also.
Cuonzo has to understand that winning is why he was hired, and the high road is grea but fans pay to see players and not the MO Valley lineup that started the other night.
