Just didn’t get the minutes, like you said.

It feels to me like she should be playing more. I don’t know how she is going to develop and get better without significant minutes. But Coach RP clearly is going with the 4 seniors and Blackwell as the starters, with Frank getting the next most minutes. For the year, rounded, here are the average minutes per game:

28 Roundtree
28 Smith
28 Chavis
27 Blackwell
26 Schuchts
24 Frank
18 Troup
15 Green
10 Brown

Some of Franks minutes are limited because her defense is not great and she gets into foul trouble. In the SEC games Frank has played 22, 24, 28, 16, 28, and 15 minutes. The 16 minutes was against Arky when she got into foul trouble and eventually fouled out. The 15 minutes was against Ole Miss, which was just the coaches decision, she only had 1 foul in that game.

I can’t really fault RP for not starting Frank. Who would she replace in the starting lineup? Not Schuchts, she is our only post type player, although she does not play like one. Smith and Blackwell are the two best players on the team, they have to start. Chavis is doing a credible job bringing the ball up the court, with Blackwell filling in at times, so she has to start. I guess that leaves Roundtree, who does not have a very sophisticated offensive game, but her quickness and defense are well beyond what Frank has at this point. So we have 6 players averaging between 24-28 minutes per game, with Frank on the low end of that, but still averaging well more than Troup, Green, and Brown.

I’m not really disagreeing with you, I want to see Frank getting more minutes, she and Blackwell are the future of this team that will graduate 4 senior starters. She is the best pure shooter on the team and you want her in the game in the 4th quarter with her great free throw shooting. I wish this team would do a lot more passing and weaving and screen setting to open Frank up for shots. But her lack of quickness and average defense and tendency to foul are limiting her minutes to some extent, I think.

I hope you are wrong about her being a potential transfer if she doesn’t get the minutes she thinks she deserves. I think she is way more committed to a career at her home state school than, for example, Berg, Levy, or Garner were. I see her sticking it out here. But she can’t get better without playing more.
