The new coach’s charisma made a strong first impression on Lutheran North coach Carl Reed.

“That’s a must for any coach in the SEC because it’s that kind of league,” Reed said. “It’s a league where the coaches are stars. So you have to have a star type of personality to be able to survive in a league that’s so rough and rugged.”

I never really thought of it that way, but he is right. The SEC is a league where the coaches are the stars. And have these big personalities and southern charm.

I did notice Drink has that great southern football accent. He sounds like he fits right in to to the SEC and could have been a coach on the show Friday Night Lights.
