Alden stuck by Quin despite NCAA sanctions. Then Quin had the popcorn dropped on his head at the Braggin' Rights game and was fired by Gary Link. There was a thought that the BoC would meet to fire Alden, but just as they were getting ready, Alden popped up with Mike Anderson.
