I posted this the other night.

Merely look at LSU after Les Miles. LSU went for Jimbo Fisher. That fell through and Texas A&M hired him for insane money. LSU went after another hot can't miss coach in Tom Herman. He used the LSU negotiations to parlay this into a large contract with Texas.
LSU missed on two can't miss home run hires and settled for Ed Orgeron who was already on staff.

Funny how the best laid plans are those of mice and men as Tom Herman and Jimbo fisher are both 7-5 at their respective schools.

Success isn't instant.
