crowds do. It is always that way. And to really foster that environment you have to have the consistent success over multiple years, not just one great season every once in a while.
If this team wins out through the end on 2019, the crowds will definitely pick up. If they have a few wtf games, the crowds will pass.
But if you want good crowds early in the season, you have to string enough good seasons together that the fans expect quality right from the get go and are not waiting for proof one way or the other.
