Odom has not lost his way! He never even saw the path. The very first year of the program he took a defense built for success with 8-9 starters back and totally changed the scheme to fit his wants not the talent.
Heupel had fixed the offense that season, we only needed to field a solid defense to go bowling. But "I'm the smartest guy in the room" Odom changed the defense.....It was a disaster.
In Odom regime he has done a good job of finding the developmental hidden gems, outside of that he has been a failure....Well he has done himself well in collecting Millions while not producing any real results.
