We didn’t have much talent at all until Sophie came. It’s been an uphill climb to get several really good players. If you look around there’s lots of schools in the area trying to get highly rated recruits. Nebraska, Kansas State, Missouri State, Minnesota, Iowa, Iowa State, Drake, Illinois, SLU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Arkansas all surround the state. All these schools have good women’s basketball programs, and several have for many years.
What I’m saying is I think it’s really tough to get the players you want.
