He took a 4-7 team and turned it into a 7-4 team. Problem was he was canned a few years later.
I’m too tired to look up the record of Meyer and Willingham in their first couple of years, however establishing a new culture with average talent will be tough. Our recruiting hasn’t been that great and winning, going from say 6 wins to 8-9 wins and contending immediately is a long shot in my book.
I mean we can always hope for a Houdini but the stars have never been aligned like that at MIU. Look how long it Pinkel to get rolling
