I'd say we lose 2-3 non-cons. Not that we can't beat all of those teams, but I really don't see that we will beat all of those teams.
In the SEC, I see no excuse for us to not be better than:
Vandy
UGA
Ark
A&M
Ole Miss
SCar
That is 9 wins
Not saying we can't win, but I would not predict us to beat:
UK
UF
2 losses
Don't know what to expect:
Tennessee - lost key pieces, but could still be good
Alabama - not that good, but very good recruiting coming in and a big improvement at coach.
Miss St. - Lose their best player + #4 scorer. Bring in 1 4* kid, but I just feel like they're a hard team to read.
Auburn - massive roster turnover, but some talent coming in
LSU - Loses some key pieces, but brings in a couple good recruits
7 unknowns
That is why I say about 20 wins and .500 in SEC should be our baseline. Nothing should have to be "right" for us to achieve this and only notable injuries should keep us from achieving it.
Now, if various things go our way, such as other's struggles, our guys making bigger improvements than maybe expected, overachievement from our 2 big frosh....
then we could move on up pretty quickly.
And it seems the computer models expect this.
I read somewhere that MU has the most returning scoring the the SEC....which the computers would love.
