He won’t be coming off of screens and taking threes on the move. As a spot up shooter Kash was over 50%. He shot leas than that because he was forced to take more difficult shots.
I’m not worried about how tall a guy is. I only have 1 question, and I don’t know the answer yet. Because I haven’t watched any scrimmages. Can Tilmon make spot up jumpers when no one is defending him? From watching him in shoot arounds last season to Saturday his form has improved and he looks capable of making that shot. That’s a tiny sample size. If Saturday was representative of his shot then I have no issues with Tilmon spotting up some.
It’s a natural progression for him. It also fits within the offense. He’s unlikely to be a guy that you want taking that shot 4-5 times a game. But if he’s open and has shown the coaches he can make it, the offense will be better if he takes the shot.
