first American Football game was that 1869 game between Rugers and Princeton, two neighbor institutions in NJ. It would indeed be ironic if the first "American Football" game was, in reality, an international match up between McGill and Harvard. And yes, I remember well the 1969 season and the designated 100th anniversary of college football, with the 100 decal on one side of the MU helmet. Incidentally, one of MU's greatest seasons, with a Big 8 co-championship and a trip to the Orange Bowl.
