Why TheClown resonates and connects with so many?

Because many folks, no matter their race, creed, or religion (or no religion) simply want to go to work, earn a living, raise their children, take vacations, save for retirement, send their kids to college so they can have the same peaceful life. They get really tired of being told that because they have these things and want more of these things it makes them selfish and privileged. They are grateful for what they have and are generous with the things they have, for the most part. They take care of their neighbors when in need. This is what America has often stood for and when they come under attack via constant criticism, being told they should be ashamed for having more than others, it causes many to recoil and become very defensive. TheClown has capitalized on that. As many here know, I've never been a fan of TheClown. I find him to be a brash, classless, self-centered, narcissistic pr*ck. I didn't and will not vote for someone like that. He is the embodiment of what I loathe in most liberals I encounter. Nasty, hateful and self-centered. Character defects that I now pray everyday for God to remove from me.
