Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens (A1) signed 29-year old American guard Marcus Denmon.
It is actually Denmon's comeback to Athens as he has played here before. He played last season at Zhejiang Chouzhou in Chinese CBA league. In 34 games he had very impressive stats: 33.5ppg, 7.1rpg, 6.2apg and 1.9spg. He was also named League Player of the Week (5 times). Denmon also spent pre-season at Panathinaikos that year.
In 2012 he was drafted by San Antonio Spurs (NBA) in second round (59th overall). Denmon attended University of Missouri and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he won Greek League championship title in 2018. Denmon was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 Co-Newcomer of the Year in 2018.
He represented USA at the World University Games in Shenzhen (China) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 7 games: 8.3ppg, 1.9rpg, 1.4apg, 1.9spg, FGP: 56.7%, 3PT: 17.6%, FT: 75.0%.
Denmon is quite experienced player. He has played in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Denmon has played previously professionally also in France (Chalon/Saor), Italy and Turkey (Tofas, Gaziantep and Istanbul BBSK).
