Jordan Elliott will prove to be the most talented, NFL caliber defender. Both of our starting corners have the size and experience to play the run as well as be lock down corners. The DE position is deep, and guys like Jeffcoat and Hansford will shine. At DT, we bring back Kobe Whiteside, Texas transfer Chris Davis, Antar Thomson, JUCO Angel Matute, Markell Utsey and Tyrell Jacobs. Not a "bare cupboard". We have a ton of unknown stars in the making at LB. I'd go so far as to say LB has the potential to be the best position group on D. Besides Nathan and Garrett, have Chad Bailey, Aubrey Miller, Jamal Brooks, Nick Bolton, Cameron Wilkins.
Also-have way too much talent at safety for 2-3 guys not to emerge as play makers alongside Gillespie. Jarvis Ware, Jordan Ulmer, Khalil Oliver, Joshuah Bledsoe, Jalani Williams and where ever Perkins will play.
This defense has talent, and I agree that it's on the coaches to scheme them correctly.
