Texas State probably stole an at-large spot yesterday by losing.
BYU (RPI of 40 and the regular season champ) lost and has to go through the loser's bracket in the West Coast tournament. But it's just a four-team tournament, so not as daunting a task as in some conferences.
Fresno State (RPI of 37 and the regular season champ) needs to win the Mountain West and will be in good shape to do so by winning today.
Creighton (RPI of 22 and the regular season champ) needed 3 runs in the ninth to beat Seton Hall 10-9 yesterday and stay in the winner's bracket of the Big East.
If any of those three schools plus Florida Atlantic in the Conference USA don't win their tournaments, the number of available at-large slots shrinks from something like 6 at this time to 2-5 and that will be it for Mizzou's chances.
Teams I'd put ahead of Mizzou in at-large consideration: Florida, Clemson
Team I'd put behind Mizzou: Virginia, Oklahoma, Houston
To be determined: Duke, Arizona, Irvine, Florida State, Southern Miss, Michigan.
