He will not even be considered for Veep....

Buttigieg is polling well among white voters but at only one percent among "non-white primary voters." He may 'play well' in the Midwest with Dem primary voters, but will fail on both coasts, and couldn't carry a midwest state in the General Election

His stated policies resemble Sanders and Warren and are out of step with the mainstream voter.
