Hey guess what, the US had slaves way late in the game. That was wrong. But it was. Time to acknowledge it and get over it. Good Christian with good hearts back in the old South were members or looked the other way regarding the KKK.

Do you have a link to Petes' stand on that? It is stupid over-reach in my book - AS IS the idea that one needs to like or agree with every last thing about some politician in order to support him.

David Brooks commented a few years ago that the US typically goes too far in judging our leaders, that folks are in fact folks and sometimes in their lives they screw up. To insist on one who has not is kinda self-defeating.
