Politicians very often re-frame questions like that and like you maybe, I am frustrated by that practice. Did the mayor then suggest that a horrible disease would give you a pass on the abortion?
Seems to me his answer across the board on that issue - abortion - is to "trust the woman", that the state has no place. And to answer your question - THAT answer is good enough for me.
When you bring up the Hope and Change message - that was marketing just as MAGA is marketing and Morning in America was marketing. Pete doesn't have a line like that that I have heard.
