causes people to abandon some of their guiding principles in drafting a kid, like size, or some other metric. It's easier to take a chance on a kid because he was "the most outstanding player in college football" for a particular year.
I don't know whether Murray will make it or not - I don't think anyone does, but there are certainly red flags to drafting someone of his size. He would be an outlier if he succeeds, not the norm.
